Flokati Rugs

Although hundreds of years have passed since the first Flokatis were ever produced, we are very proud to say that we are still using the same traditional way of making hand-made Flokati rugs.

We produce the Original Hand Woven Flokati made of 100% Pure New Wool using the finest NZ wool in an unlimited number of custom Qualities (weight per m²) from 1000gr/m² up to 5000gr/m².

Our Flokati can be either 100% woolen (100% Pure New Wool in both pile and backing) or have a synthetic fibers’ backing, depending on each customer’s unique requirements.

Flokati is graded in Qualities (weight per m²). This is determined by the density of the weave and the height of the pile. As the weight per m²of the Flokati increases so does the richness, thickness and fluffiness of the pile. Below some photos of a few randomly selected Qualities.
